Family of Allwell Orji has finally confirmed that the body recovered by the Marine Police from the lagoon close to CMS is that of Orji. Orji was just 35 years old. He was a medical Doctor. His family was not poor.
Orji
couldn’t have committed suicide because of poverty. He didn’t lack. But what
made him to take his own life? Was it disappointment from a lady? Was it
bewitchment? Was he a member of cult and he was required to do or perform a
certain obligation beyond his capacity?
Orji’s
driver who drove him that day said, his master asked him to stop after
answering a phone call. According to the driver, when he stopped, his master
opened the door of the car, ran to the side of the bridge and jumped into the
sea. The driver who saw the drama ran after him shouting to draw
people’s attention. A woman who also witnessed the horror said she was running
after the man with shouts.

commiserate with the family with words of consolation that, “Nothing is new in
this world”.
