Jesus obeyed God the
Father and did everything God instructed Him to do without adding His own. It
is surprised that despite His warning that we should not deviate but keep to
His teachings, men have refused to heed the warning and instead introduce their
own doctrines. Jesus told the Jews: “My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent
me”. John 7:16
The Jews marveled that
Jesus whom they never saw attending school could teach better than the educated
ones. Jesus was a Teacher of teachers. He taught with authority. He didn’t jot
down any scripture for use to guide Himself while teaching. He could refer
to any book in the scripture and cited any verse during His teachings and
messages to the people without preparing a note. The Jews were wondering where Jesus acquired such
wisdom and knowledge from. They never knew that He is the Author of the
scripture, and the Son of God who is equally omniscient.
It is those who do the will of God that will understand the doctrines in the Bible. When we
accept Jesus Christ, we understand the mystery of the gospel. Those who introduce
their own doctrines and teach men so shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.
God says, those who
add to the words in the Bible will be destroyed by plagues. And anyone who
subtracts the words of the Bible will have his name removed from the book of
life and will be cast into hell fire.
“…If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the
plagues that are in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of
the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of
life, and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this
book”. Revelation 22:18b-19.
Those who have ears,
let them hear and amend their ways. Do away with those religious activities you
call “our church doctrines” or else destruction comes and you are consumed and
perished eternally in hell.
