learn how a godly woman whose husband has abandoned her and the children for five years suffered all alone to fend
for the family. The woman has two children – a boy and a girl. She is devoted
to God and prays always. Her children do not help matter as they do not
understand why their mother always wants the family to pray all the time. They
complain that after all there is a neighbour whose family doesn’t pray and they
are doing well.
The boy child says the
mother should excuse him from her habitual prayers, because only his sister who
will grow up to be woman needs prayers. The mother rebukes him and tells him
that he equally needs prayer just like his sister.
The mother is
frustrated. She is depressed and thinks she should take the advice of her
female friends to have at least a boyfriend who will be taking care of her. The
woman was thinking about whether to have a boy friend outside the matrimonial
home when her own mother suddenly arrives. The mother of the woman understands
what her daughter is going through in her marriage, but discourages her not to
commit adultery. To have a boyfriend or sugar daddy is sin, her mother reminds
her. The woman takes the advice of the mother, and the mother prays for her.
