Train your Children on how to live by God’s Word by Rev. F.M.O. Iyere

I greet you great Mothers!

One of life’s greatest blessings is to have a godly mother. The greatest gift you can give your children is to be a godly mother. Mothers do influence their sons and daughters; but sadly, the influence of feminist movement has caused the status of motherhood to decline. Women are encouraged to find fulfillment in a career, not in raising children. How do you hand off your faith to your kids? One of the main ways is by training them in God’s Word: Godly mothers honour God’s Word and train their children in it.

A mother must grow in her own love for God’s Word. You cannot impart what you do not possess. If your kids seldom see you seeking God through His word, they won’t catch at it for themselves. A godly mother will train her children on how to live by

God’s Word. President Theodore Roosevelt the 26^th President of USA said,

“When all is said, it is the mother, the mother only who is a better citizen than the soldier who fights for his country. The successful mother, the mother who does her part in rearing and training aright the boys and girls who are to be the men and women of the next generation, is of greater use to the community. She is more important, by far, than the successful statesman or businessman or artist or scientist”.
