Inspector General of Police (IGP) Idris Ibrahim said he was misquoted by the press on the release of the remaining Dapchi girl, Leah Sharibu. IGP said, he only talked about the 104 girls already released whom the Federal Government was taken back to Dapchi to hand over to their parents. The 106 released by Boko Haram included a boy and a girl who are not students of Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi.
Leah has not been released yet, but the Federal Government has assured the anxious parents and the general public that the girl will be released unhurt as negotiation is still ongoing.
