Battle for the Soul of Osun

Iyiola Omisore has suddenly become a political idol as All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are fighting for the votes that will decide the clear winner of the gubernatorial election that took place on Saturday, September 22. The election was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The re-run was scheduled for Thursday, September 27 and it is expected to be between two leading contestants - APC and PDP candidates.
The Chieftains of the two political Parites, APC and PDP have turned the house of Mr. Omisore of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to a tourist theater. Each side is appealing to Omisore to prevail on his supporters to vote for their own candidate. Who will eventually win to govern Osun State for the next four years? PDP candidate is leading by 353 votes, and will he consolidate on the result or will the electorate decide otherwise and vote massively for the candidate of APC? The anxiety is high. Politicians in the two Parties are having sleepless nights working to ensure victory for their respective candidate.

Mighty Voice like other media is following the event with keen interest.
