Blame PDP and GEJ for N36 Million JAMB Money swallowed by Snake

Fmr. President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan

NGN36 Million Was Swallowed By Snake Under formal President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ). Before you crucify Buhari on this particular issue, please get some sense.

Incumbent, Prof. Ishaq Oloyode, was appointed Registrar of JAMB by President Buhari on the 1st of August 2016. Until then, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, was Registrar. He was appointed by former President Jonathan. The total amount the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board, JAMB, remitted to the federal government coffers between 2010 and 2016 when Ojerinde left was, fifty million, seven hundred and fifty two thousand, five hundred and fifty four naira (N50,752,544) only.

This is about one percent of the N5 ‎billion the Board remitted to the federal government in 2017 alone. This was under Buhari. On the 13th of August, having seen the unbelievable gap in the figures, Buhari ordered a probe of four former Registrars of the Board for suspicious remittances.

The case of the N36 million Naira JAMB money swallowed by a snake in Makurdi is one of the many leakages discovered by the team investigating JAMB on the directive of President Buhari. The money was proceeds from the sale of JAMB scratch cards. A practice that Prof. Oloyode, stopped immediately he was appointed Registrar by Buhari, and introduced self generated PIN numbers in place of scratch cards to enhance transparency.

The money was not swallowed under Buhari. So before you run your mouth, go and check your details.
