Don’t kill Leah Sharibu

Leah Sharibu

The Boko haram have issued a strong warning to the federal government of Nigeria to meet their demands or face unpleasant consequences. They are threatening to kill Leah if the federal government continues to dilly-dally with their demands. To make the presidency feel they are serious, the sect members had just killed a 25-year old humanitarian staff, Miss. Saifura Khorsa, a midwife with the International Committee of Red Cross point blank on Monday, September 17. The sect also threatened to kill Hauwa Lima and Alice Ngaddah who were abducted in March.

We advise the federal government not to mind the critics who might condemn payment of ransom to save Leah and others in their captivity. We urge the federal government to re-negotiate with the sect. Leah and others still in their captivity are too precious to be killed by these ungodly people. We call for quick action to save Leah in particular to avoid losing her to these worthless people.
