Labour suspends strike, directs workers to resume immediately

Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has suspended its nationwide strike action embarked upon on Thursday, 27th September to press home their demand for minimum wage. Labour President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba announced the suspension of the strike after the meeting with the presidency. The leaders directed all workers to resume work immediately. The Government has assured the labour leaders that the tripartite Minimum Wage Committee set up by the federal government would resume sitting and the issue of minimum wage would be settled without further delay.
