Dr. Henry B. Ogunjewo. The Theme is: BY THIS TIME TOMORROW. Did God really honour His word? God did and how did He do it? What is your expectation of the invited Guest Minister about the Theme: BY THIS TIME TOMORROW?

In this second part, MightyVoice medium has paraphrased the story from the Bible where the event that made God reveal to the man of God, Prophet Elisha to tell the people that 'By this time tomorrow...' and you are advised  to read the biblical story below in order to understand the message better. Do you still have the spirit of king Jehoram even now that you are in Christ?
The fact that king Jehoram did not believe the capacity and capability of God to reverse the hardship in Israel “By this time tomorrow’’ was immaterial. God never fails and He is known for honouring His word. The army of Syria heard the noises of warriors that never physically existed. When the Syrian army that encamped Israel for several months heard the noises of the chariots and horses, they all fled.

God used lepers to go to where well able men and king could not tread out of fear. The four lepers suffered from stigma. Their place of abode was outside the gate of Israel. They were not to interact with clean people. It was forbidden for them to mingle with other citizens. They were treated like no human beings. They lived on begging and were not even considered as a second class people.

The famine in Israel was very severe. The four lepers thought to themselves that it was better to be adventurous in the situation like that. Perhaps, who knows whether we would come back alive, they reasoned together. They decided to go to the besieged territory for they said, if they remained in their abode by the city gate, they would die of hunger, but if they went to the camp of the enemy, they would either kill them or spare their lives. What did it matter if they died of hunger or died in the hands of the enemy?

If we say, we will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die”. 2Kings 7:4

The four lepers then damned the consequence and went at night to the camp of Syrians. The lepers were astonished that no single Syrian was found. The camp was deserted leaving assorted foods and money and garments all over the place. The four lepers then ate to their satisfaction. They thereafter gathered the food and money in one place and came back to Israel to break the news to the people.

The omnipotent God fought the battle without using human beings:
For the LORD had made the host of Syrians to hear a noise of the chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Egyptians, to come upon us”. 2Kings 7:6

But for the four lepers, king Jehoram and the people of Israel would not have known that God had caused the enemy to flee. King Jehoram instead of seeking the face of the Lord, decided to blame the woe that befell the nation on Prophet Elisha.

When the good news was brought to king Jehoram, he still did not believe. The king said, the Syrian army was hiding and they would come out of their hidden place to attack us.

And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, when they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city”. 2Kings 7:12

But God honoured His word, and His promise to the people of Israel that the problem bedevil their nation would be over tomorrow came to pass. King Jehoram lived to witness it, but died without eating the bread thereof.

And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died”. 2Kings 7:20
Do we have such Christians like king Jehoram? MightyVoice will continue to dig deep as led by God.
