The Supremacy of Jesus Christ

The Foursquare Gospel Church, Ire-Akari Zonal Headquarters, Isolo Annual Revival Comes up between Thursday, October 18 and Sunday, September 21, 2018. The Theme for this year is: BY THIS TIME TOMORROW. This MightyVoice medium covered last year Revival and it will be there live to cover this year event.

For last year videos and messages, you can search for them in this Blog by typing “Believers Authority” which was the theme for the last year. That is the advantage of Google, for every event recorded is stored forever. We will be re-posting some of the videos and messages for last year 2017 to individuals and Groups as from today till the end of this week in the belief that you still need to hear them again.

God created the world and handed it over to man. The first man was Adam. God gave power to Adam and his wife, Eve to rule over everything in the world. Man was given the authority to dominate and subdue as he pleased. But man disobeyed God, and ate the forbidden fruit. The punishment for sin is death here on earth and everlasting life either in heaven or hell depending on whether there is repentance and acceptance of Jesus as one's personal Lord and Saviour.

God did not do anything without carrying His Son Jesus Christ along.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… Genesis 1:26

Jesus was with God at the time of creation of the world. Jesus is the Word. When God said, ‘let there be…’ during creation in the Book of Genesis Chapter one the same words spoken by God to command things to be is Jesus.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. Col.1:16

All things were made for Jesus and to be under His control. God gave all power both in heaven and earth and under the earth to Jesus. Jesus is the Head of the Church. Every human being ministering in any Assembly of the people of God is a mere servant. No pastor can claim authority over a church. It is sin for a pastor to say, “I am in charge here”. A founder of church who arrogates power meant for Jesus to himself shall not make heaven.

Jesus should be given preeminence in the church and in all things we do. We should acknowledge the supremacy of Jesus Christ in all our daily activities. Jesus is the Redeemer, the Re-conciliator, Mediator and the Judge. He can do all things. He is merciful and meek and caring.

We must understand that we have no power of our own. Without Jesus we are nothing and we can do nothing. Jesus is mighty, and it pleased God that “in him should all fullness dwell”. Col.1:19

God has given indescribable absolute power to Jesus, and we should therefore love Him or deny Him at our own peril. Jesus minced no word when He authoritatively said:

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. John 11:25-26
