Seven Things God wants us to avoid

Among other things God wants us to avoid are:
1.      Trouble
2.      Profane and babbling
3.      False science
4.      Unlearned questions
5.      Foolish questions
6.      Genealogies
7.      Arguments about the law

We shall treat the above seven things God wants us to avoid one at a time.

1. TROUBLE
God wants us to be peacemakers. It’s only peacemakers that are children of God. A troublemaker is never a child of God. Jesus says:

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God. Matthew 5:9

A child of God is not expected to cause trouble or sow a seed of discord. If you do anything that will cause divisions among people and disunity in the society, you are a child of the devil. Apostle Paul advises that Christians should avoid those who cause troubles and divisions:

Now I beseech you brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned, and avoid them. Romans 16:17

Mark the admonition by Paul: "avoid them". You must avoid troublemakers. People who follow Jesus must be kind, gentle, humble, generous in giving, have self-control and peace-promoters. Apostle Paul says troublemakers are not true followers of Christ and do not serve Him:

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and their speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Rom. 16:18

Troublemakers think they are wise. They want people to accept their opinions. They believe any action taken by them is an act of bravery. The simple-minded people can be carried away by their good words, but God has warned that we should not be deceived by their smooth talks.
