The True Story of how NKST Pastors chased away Christians of other Denomination from NKST Church during Wedding By Titus Nyitar

A TRUE VERSION OF WHAT TRANSPIRED BETWEEN THE MEMBERS OF THE WEDDING TRAIN AND THE PASTORS AND ELDERS AT N.K.S.T CHURCH (URCC), BRISTOW, GBOKO IN BENUE  STATE

It has become very necessary for me to come here and clear the air on this  issue cos a lot of fake stories concerning this are still trending on the social media.

Let me state here categorically that, I'm not here to criticize/condemn the  Church's rules/doctrine but I'm here to narrate what really happened at the wedding cos my name in particular has been dragged to the mud on this issue.

This wedding took place last Saturday(30/03/2019) at N.K.S.T Church(URCC), Bristow, Gboko in Benue State. I happened to be among those who were selected to be on the wedding train. The groom is my childhood friend. Our parents were colleagues(Teachers) so we grew up together as friends.

Some minutes before the wedding, we(the groom, the bride and members of the wedding train) were outside the Church making final preparations when the pastors and elders sent for the bride and the groom in "Ankpar" (inner room upstairs). We(the wedding train)  were later asked to join them in the "Ankpar". And when we got there, the pastors and elders demanded for our names and churches and we told them. Among the panel were Rev. E.I Gbiligh of N.K.S.T, Bristow and Rev. Isaac Koko of N.K.S.T, Anglo-Jos(these were the people I recognized). Those who wish to know the truth about what I'm saying here may enquire from these pastors. I believe they are men of God and will not lie. So the N.K.S.T members were separated from the non-N.K.S.T members. But the lady who told them she was from Anglican Church was allowed to join the N.K.S.T members. She was the Chief Bride's maid and her name is Kate Eneje (Igbo by tribe). The rest of us from other churches were asked to leave the "Ankpar", that they will only be dealing with the ones they have  selected, and we left. The  best man, Mr. Cyril Uja too was among the rejected ones and had to handover his coat to an N.K.S.T member, Mr. Tobias Kwembeh who was also a member of the train. Mr. Kwembeh is a member of N.K.S.T, Anglo-Jos.

I'm therefore surprise to see reports trending on the social space that some of us were rude/arrogant to the pastors and elders, others were drunk and the ladies were indecently dressed. So, was it only the non-N.K.S.T members that dressed indecently, were drunk and rude to the pastors and elders of the church?.

My friend(the groom) was born and brought up in N.K.S.T. He is conversant with the rules/doctrine of the church and understands that there is no explicit rule that prohibits non-members of the church from being part of the wedding train. And I  think it's true cos the lady from Anglican was allowed to join the train. We also attended rehearsals on the eve of the wedding but such a rule was not mentioned to us.

I'm disappointed that those who call themselves researchers could not get their information from multiple and unbiased sources before publishing here. They have decided to come here with fake stories capable of tarnishing our images and when you try to tell them the truth, they resist it simply because they have a mindset. It's a pity anyway.

For those of you who may want to know, I'm a member of the Catholic Church.
