Jesus was sent to direct mankind to the true God and not to make people prosper here in this wicked world. Once the Kingdom of God is your priority, God will answer your good prayer. If you want to be wealthy and famous in this world, then leave God out of your plan. We are expected to forsake all including our parents, children, wives/husbands, lands and pursue salvation.
We are expected to deny ourselves and take up our Cross daily, and worship God, and preach His message to the world.
