SILENT LABORERS
Fruit of Musa's Labour for God |
Evangelists Musa (Left) and Ibrahim Dikko |
And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
Esther. 6:12
One of the models of silent workers in the Old Testament was Mordecai. He was a man who prepared a queen for the kingdom very quietly. Having succeeded in getting his niece to become queen at the palace, he continued to dwell at the king's gate. What humility!
Even after the king had just honoured him, ordering that he be put on what today can be compared to a President's second private jet; assigning a prime minister to kowtow him with tributes, Mordecai still returned to the king's gate, his duty post.
Despite all the honour she received, Mordecai did not abandon the place where God used him to do exploits.
It was by remaining at the king's gate that he heard and thwarted the plot against the king. It was from there that he continued to instruct the great queen. It was also from there that God helped to defeat the wicked Haman.
Indeed, humble workers who stand at the gate of the King of kings like Mordecai are powerful instruments for the Kingdom!
Evang. Musa B. M.
