It is Blasphemy to claim Your Prophet is a Comforter by Ibrahim Dikko

In this write-up Evangelist Ibrahim Dikko is responding to the erroneous claim by Muslims that the Comforter that Jesus said would come to teach the believers all things is Prophet Mohammed. The pertinent question to the Muslims is that why do they always search the Bible to look for something good to be used to justify something positive about their own Prophet? Why hasn't this been expressly written in the Qur'an that the expected Comforter has arrived in person of Mohammed? Why should this claim be found in another Holy Book instead of Qu'ran? Jesus says the Comforter will be Holy Spirit which will dwell in all the Believers of His gospel, and not a human being with legs to walk about; and marry and have children and even go to physical war and encourage his followers to kill for him

My response to these Muslims who claimed that the comforter is Mohammed. Who is the Comforter?

Evang. Ibrahim Dikko

The Holy Spirit is called the Comforter in some English translations of the Bible.

For instance, the King James Version translates John 14:26 as, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

There are three primary passages in the Bible that Muslims often point to as prophecies of the coming of Muhammad:

👉Deuteronomy 18:15-22.

👉Song of Solomon 5:16.

👉John 16:5-11.

Follow me, as we defend their claims and clear to them that Mohammed is not the comforter and he is not the holy spirit no Mohammed's name is mentioned in the Bible.

#Deuteronomy 18:15-22, the immediate context of this passage refers back to verses 9-14.

👉There Moses warns the people of the danger of false prophets.

👉God's people are to avoid any who presume to speak authoritatively about spiritual truth apart from God’s truth.

             What is God’s truth?

Verse 15 says a particular prophet will arise from the Jews who will be like Moses.

👉Notice that it's not just any prophet, as there have been many, but a special prophet.

👉People who studied and believed the Old Testament writings were looking for this particular, special prophet.

👉Some Someish leaders thought the fiery preacher John the Baptist might be the fulfillment of Moses prophecy (John 1:19-30).

👉John the Baptist, however, said that he was the forerunner of the prophet of whom Moses spoke, not the prophet Himself.

Who then is this prophet spoken of in the Bible?

He is clearly none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 1:43-45 records that the early followers of Jesus understood He was the prophet of whom Moses wrote.

Jesus Himself declared this about Himself (Luke 24:27).

The most complete statement pointing to Jesus as the promised prophet is found in Acts 3:12-26.

  1. The claim that the Holy Spirit came in the person of prophet Muhammed is unfounded. Evangelist Dikko's response richly throw light on this issue. Many thanks for publishing this timeless truth.
