Excerpt from our Sunday message

Anchor scripture: Joshua 1:8. "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous and then thou shall have good success"

Meditation is a nontransferable spiritual responsibility for every believer who desires to experience good success in any area of life. Meditation takes us to the realm where we can rob minds with God Almighty. Remember, God's word is God (John 1:1). When you meditate on God's word, you are robbing mind with God. The philosophy and Logic that are being taught in our universities and colleges are not in any way a match to Meditation. While philosophy and Logic emphasize on mental capabilities, that is man's ability, meditation emphasizes God's ability through man. The two cannot be the same.

Hear what God says in Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" The invitation by God Himself to come and reason together is a personal nontransferable spiritual responsibility. It is a call to come and meditate on God's word for there lies your breakthrough. Please note that he didn't invite only pastors, bishops, general overseers or church leaders to come on behalf of their members. It is time for us to wake up and start taking spiritual responsibilities for our desired turnarounds. You can't reason with God and then ends up as a mere mortal. Impossible! Create time for meditation and you will soon become an authority, a role model, a champion, an icon etc in your area of endeavor. Meditation gives you a new identity because you will always be doing things like God.

What then is meditation? Scripturally speaking, meditation means to reason together with God or to reason with God's word. To think through on God's word. It also means to study, to examine, to evaluate, to analyze and interpret so as to be able to observe and do what is commanded by God. Meditation facilitates our understanding of what is written. There's a strong nexus between meditation and obedience (that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written). Obedience is not doing what you think or what someone else thinks or says. Godly obedience is doing according to all that is written. We can safely conclude here that without meditation, godly obedience is not in view. Meditation therefore empowers our faith.

In part two of this study, we shall be looking at the benefits of meditation and how to meditate effectively. Please stay connected.

To be continued.

If you have not confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour as commanded in the Bible (Romans 10:9-10) kindly humble yourself and say the prayer below in faith:

You can surrender your life to Jesus Christ by saying this prayer of faith.

Lord Jesus Christ, I come to you in faith, I confess your lordship. I am a sinner in need of your help. Come into my life. I believe you died for my sin and resurrected on the third day for my justification. My sins are forgiven, I am now free to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for saving my life.

Congratulations if you pray this prayer of faith genuinely from your heart. You are now born again. Next, look for a Bible believing church and begin to fellowship with other brethren. Go for water baptism and Holy Ghost baptism. Jesus is Lord.
