Jesus is God, Pastor Abel Damina dares Muslims

Pastor Abel Damina Drops BOMBSHELL After A Muslim Asked Him "Is Jesus God?" - Quotes Quran And Bible.

The controversial pastor and senior pastor of Power City International, Dr. Abel Damina, has addressed a common question posed by many Muslims on his official X handle.

“Where did Jesus say, ‘I am God, worship me’?” In a detailed response during a recent teaching session, Dr. Damina not only cited multiple biblical references but also drew comparisons with the Quran, arguing that both scriptures affirm the divine nature of Jesus Christ.

“A Muslim brother challenged me to show him where in the Bible Jesus said, ‘I am God’.

You know, Muslims are not being trained or they are being trained to simply ask the question. And this is how they are trained to ask questions,” Dr. Damina began.

“They are being trained to demand the exact words: ‘Where did Jesus say, I am God, worship me?’ But the question should be: Where and how does Jesus claim to be God? That should actually be the question,” he added.

He emphasized that understanding Jesus’ divinity requires looking beyond literal semantics and into the claims and actions uniquely attributed to God, which Jesus demonstrated.

Damina then compared both scriptures, starting with Surah 57:3 of the Quran which refers to Allah as “the First and the Last.” He noted that this matches Isaiah 44:6 and Revelation 1:17-18, where Jesus said: “Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

He continued: ”Should a mere prophet be calling himself the First and the Last? But that’s exactly what Jesus did.”

Damina also cited Mark 2:5, where Jesus forgave sins—an act the Quran says is only for Allah. “Jesus said, ‘Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.’ Something the Quran says only Allah has the authority to do.”

On Jesus’ role as judge, he quoted Matthew 25:31-32: “When the Son of Man shall come in his glory… before him shall be gathered all nations… he shall separate them one from another.”

Furthering the argument, he said: “Would a prophet ever call himself the truth? But that’s what Jesus did in John 14:6: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.’”

Dr. Damina also pointed to Jesus’ authority over life and death, referencing John 5:25: “An hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God.”

He linked this to Quranic references to Jesus as Kalimat Allah, meaning Word of God, and tied it to John 1:1,14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Your word cannot be different from you. If Jesus is the Word of God like the Quran and the Bible agree, then Jesus is God.”

In conclusion, Dr. Damina reaffirmed: “There are claims that only God can make. And that’s why we affirm unequivocally that Jesus is God Almighty.”
