It has been 50 years since this photograph was taken.
Palestinian militants stormed the Christian town of Damour in Lebanon and slaughtered 582 Christian civilians.
A priest who lived through the attack described it as pure apocalypse.
“They poured in by the thousands, screaming ‘Allahu Akbar! Attack them for the Arabs — let us offer a holocaust to Mohammad!’
They butchered everyone in their path — men, women, and children.”
Men were forced against the walls of their own houses and cut down by gunfire.
Women were tortured and repeatedly raped.
Infants were shot in the back of the head.
Pregnant women had their unborn children torn from their wombs.
This was only one of many massacres carried out against Christians by Palestinian forces.
This is how Muslims became the majority in Lebanon.
