𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗠𝗬 𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 BY GRACE 

Ex Muslim Grace

At this point, I had already told my family that I had become a Christian. I told them about my encounters with Jesus—how that in the encounter He cleansed me and told me to follow Him.

Because I kept having these encounters, they contacted a native doctor. Already they had concluded that I have become mentally unstable. So, the marabout made a charm and claimed that if it was placed inside my pillow, I would stop dreaming about Jesus and eventually return to Islam.

I was not home when the conversation between my family and the native doctor took place, but one of my siblings overheard it told me. 

One day, while I was at school, my pillow was torn open, the charm was placed deep inside among the foam and cotton, and the pillow was sewn back together.

When I came home from school, no one was home. I removed the pillowcase and noticed that the pillow had been sewn with a needle and thread. At that moment, I knew something had been put inside.

I took scissors, opened the pillow, found the charm, removed it, threw it in the trash, and sewed my pillow back.

Later that evening, they noticed some pieces of foam I had accidentally left behind. They checked the trash, saw more foam, and realized that I had opened the pillow. They asked if I had removed what was inside, and I said yes.

At that point they yelled at me saying, “ we are trying to help you because something has really gone wrong with you. But whatever spirit is in you don’t want you to be helped. Why have you chosen to go the path of damnation?” I simply told them nothing was wrong with me. 

One common thing I have noticed is that when a Muslim becomes a Christian they will always conclude that the person has become mentally unstable. 

Looking back, even if I had never discovered that charm, I believe nothing could have stopped Jesus from continuing to reveal Himself to me. No charm can stop God if He wants to speak to you.

And the scripture says “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” And I answer: Absolutely nobody!

And today, I am still following the Jesus they tried to stop me from encountering. The things God does is beyond flesh and blood.
