A MESSAGE OF APOLOGY TO OUR CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Mudassir Badamasi Ahmad

On behalf of my personal beliefs as a Muslim, I sincerely wish to express my heartfelt apology to all Christians who felt hurt, offended, threatened, or disappointed by the viral video involving a person associated with the Yan Agaji group.

I understand that such statements can create fear, pain, and mistrust among people of different faiths. I want to make it clear that those words do not represent the true teachings of Islam.

Islam is not a religion of terrorism, hatred, or violence against innocent people. Islam is a religion that promotes peace, justice, mercy, respect, and peaceful coexistence. No innocent person should be threatened or targeted because of their religion, and no place of worship should be treated as a target for violence.

The Qur’an teaches us in Surah Al-Mumtahanah (60:8) that Allah does not forbid Muslims from showing kindness and justice to those who do not fight them because of religion.

To all our Christian brothers and sisters, please accept my sincere apology for the pain and concern caused by this incident. We are neighbours, fellow citizens, and human beings who deserve to live together in peace and mutual respect.

Let us not allow the words or actions of any individual to destroy the peaceful relationship between Muslims and Christians. We must continue to choose dialogue over hatred, understanding over division, and peace over violence.

I stand for peace, unity, religious tolerance, and the protection of every innocent human life, regardless of faith.

May Almighty Allah guide us all towards peace, understanding, and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

Peace is our responsibility. Unity is our strength. Humanity comes first.

  1. I thought the person who made such threat should be the one to making this apologies and perhaps will better explain what made him to make such a blasphemy. I expect the security to have picked him up for questioning. We need peace
