I have shared this testimony before, but for those who have recently joined this little community, I would love to share it again.

Shortly after my conversion to Christianity, I visited my home country, Guinea. During my morning devotion, a family member found me studying my Bible and reported it to the entire family.

My grandfather was a respected man in the community and at our local mosque, so my conversion to Christianity was seen as a disgrace to the family. Some imams from the mosque were called, and my parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, and neighbors gathered at our house. In fact, almost everyone who heard about it came.

One of the imams asked me: “𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗺. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗺𝘀. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻?”

I remained silent for a long time because I was afraid of their threats to beat me to de@th.

𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗚𝗚𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗬𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙, 𝗪𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗟𝗬 𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗬 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗬 𝗛𝗜𝗠.

I looked to the side and some were  crying that I have disgraced the family, others were just very angry and disappointed.

At that moment, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:33:

“𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻, 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻.”

I really struggled within myself. Finally, the Holy Spirit gave me the courage to speak boldly, regardless of what they might do to me.

I reminded myself that 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗜𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡.

𝗦𝗢 𝗜 𝗧𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗗 𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗗.

I shared with them the out-of-body experience I had, during which Jesus appeared to me, washed me, and told me that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that I should follow Him. They all laughed in disbelief saying who are you for God to speak to you. Some said something was wrong with me, while others claimed I was possessed by an evil spirit.

𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗠 𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗠𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗜𝗡𝗡 (𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗟 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧) 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗗 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗠𝗘.

In another testimony, I will share what happened when I was taken there, I almost lost my life there.

But one thing I will never forget is the immense joy I felt after testifying about Jesus before them, even though they did not believe me. That experience taught me that we must seize every opportunity to share the Gospel, trusting the Holy Spirit to give us courage, even in the most difficult circumstances.

𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗡𝗢 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗘𝗟𝗦𝗘 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗔𝗭𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗛!
